Teaching voice cannot be as objective as teaching piano, because the instrument is ourselves! This creates all kinds of psychological, physical, and acoustical differences among singers. Look out for this new series, where I look at common creative instructions given in voice lessons. I’ll be focusing on the ones that don’t make a lot of sense on the surface, but nonetheless may have value.
Do you have a technical tip or saying about singing that you would like to have me explore here? Let me know. Imagery, paradoxes, and other strangeness are all welcome!
Apologies for sending multiple notifications of new posts lately! I have converted to a new software that has taken me on “a learning journey”.
Cheers and thanks, readers!
