Spoon-feeding after babyhood

We have an entitlement problem. Because information is easy to find, usually, and because the media of yore has largely been digitized, we expect to be served knowledge. We want “learning” to be free, easy, and in huge quantities.

Some things take time. Like learning how to sing better, learning a new language, solving a very difficult problem, grieving a loss. We can’t be happy, satisfied, wise, healthy, and respected all the time. As long as people incarnate into this existence there will be challenges and trials.

When I argue with reality, I lose—but only 100% of the time. – Byron Katie

If you want to learn something that’s not in the first page of Google results, you will need to expend some effort. It’s OK, really.
